about

Jody Mace is the mother of two children, who, for a small fee, provide subject matter for her essays.  Her stories have also featured her husband, friends, relatives, neighbors, co-workers, deceased pets, and her kids’ teachers, none of whom get a dime. She pulls vivid and meaningful moments out of everyday life and weaves them into essays that are both moving and funny.

While living in England for two years with her family, she enjoyed quirky festivals and going on long, rambling walks with dodgy maps. Now they live in North Carolina, and, when not busy writing, she works in a school library, and enjoys bike riding, photography, and geocaching.

Besides essays, she also writes about travel, learning, and health.
